Escondido Youth Media Festival, 2011It's almost time for the 2011 Escondido Youth Media Festival (EYMF)! In its third year, EYMF is a celebration of the creativity and 21st Century skills of elementary and middle school students from the Escondido Union School District (EUSD). Produced by the Escondido Education Foundation in partnership with the Escondido Union School District, the Festival promotes students' work in their home community and on a global platform. Put simply, there is a lot of good news to share, and we want you to see it firsthand! Why is the Festival important? EUSD already has exciting preliminary data indicating that students' Information, Communications, and Technology Literacy has a dramatic effect on their academic achievement. By creating Video, Photography, and Music/Audio Media, EUSD students develop skills and master educational content in ways that far exceed expectations. |
