What's in it for Me?

Note: These prizes are representative of possible awards; there may be substitutions.

Creating something worthwhile is not easy. We feel it's important to reward the effort as best we can. We've tried to provide awards that will encourage the winners to continue their pursuit of the media that got them here. There will be three awards in each category: Primary Students (grades K-2), Intermediate Students (grades 3-5), and Middle School Students (grades 6-8).

So What's in it For You?

1. Prizes! (see above; we reserve the right to change prizes if necessary)
2.  The prizes are awesome, but you will also discover how great it feels to:
  •  see a project through from start to finish
  •  share your original work with the whole world
  •  discover a talent or passion you didn't know you had
  •  start your own "digital portfolio"
  •  work with professionals who have fun jobs in video, audio and photography
3. Your participation in the Festival helps the Escondido Education Foundation  tell the world about the great work that kids do in schools like yours every day. Because of your participation, the Foundation can raise more funds to support great programs in our schools like music, Project LIVE, iRead, and Innovative Classroom Projects. That's good for you and the kids who will follow you.
